HAMILTON — Two people were taken to Beverly Hospital after a two-car accident on Tuesday.

The crash happened on January 31 on Bridge Street, the fire department said in a brief statement.

First reports were of a head-on collision with entrapment, the department said.

However, “On arrival, all persons were out of their vehicles,” it added.

The Essex Fire Department ambulance took one patient, while Beauport Ambulance Service transported another patient to the Beverly emergency room.

Boston Medflight initially responded, but the service was cancelled after medics on scene determined the helicopter would not be needed, the fire department said.
